Have you ever thought of others, without thinking about yourself ‘first’? Have you ever sacrificed your ‘wishes’, ‘desires’, ‘interests’ for others? Are you a kind of a person who is willing to work 24*7, without expecting anything in return? Are you willing to work for people around you, even with your ill-health? Could you utter a ‘yes’ for you have never complaint about anything to anyone for any reason?

 Yes! A ‘MOTHER’. She is the ‘angel’, without whom we would not have seen, felt, listened to, touched this beautiful world. She is the one and only ‘jewel’ on the planet, who puts her utmost effort to keep her family ‘grounded’, ‘safe’ and ‘one’. She is the ‘diamond’ who works her heart out to keep her family happy and free from all the worries. She is the one whose warm hugs are ever ready to console you. She is the one whose soft taps on your back promises her support always. She is the one whose prayers are always by you. She is the bubble surrounding you, who fights with all the troubles coming your way and keeps you protected and secured. She is divine.

 A mother has the holy power to be your dad, sister, best friend, brother, teacher and what not? Recollect a story where a single mom taking care of her only daughter. She tries to satisfy her daughter’s needs and here comes the role of a father. Recall a story where you were depressed for something happened to you. Your mom came and consoled you. Here comes the role of a sister. Muse about the time when you could not open up your secrets to anyone and disclosed everything to your mom. Here she plays the role of a best friend. She finds you a solution without informing anyone about you. Revive the time when you did something funny but you were afraid of sharing the incident. Your mom knows about it and enjoys with you with wide laughs. Here, she plays the role of a brother. Again, go back to the time when your mom taught you how to greet your elders.  The daily routine of a mother starts from the very dawn itself.  She is the one who wakes up early in the morning, prepares the breakfast for everyone, perform the house hold duties like –dusting, brooming, iron the uniform, packs tiffin and makes sure that everyone is ready for the day on time. In between she takes out some time for herself to freshen up and pray for everyone. Again if she is working, she leaves for her work then. She puts her effort to perform better and try hard not to bring any leftover work home. What is most important for her is the family time. She is the one who go to bed late and continue her routine tirelessly from the next day again.

 The aim of this particular story was to make you understand the value of a mother. To make you feel how she works 24*7 with a smile on her face. How she perform her duties with responsibility, whole heartedly. She never breaks the routine even if she falls sick. How she makes sure that everything is done in the right way and on time. It is also our duty to keep her happy. Small surprises would make her day. It can be a gift, it can be a long drive, it can be a dinner date, and it can be helping her with the household activities.
