"You may not always have a comfortable life, and you will not always be able to solve all of the world's problems at once, but don't ever underestimate the importance you can have. Because history has shown us that courage can be contagious, and 'hope' can take on a life of its own." -Michelle Obama

Happy Akshaya Tritiya

Image
According to the Hindu calendar, Tritiya (the third day) in the month of Vaisakha is observed as Akshaya Tritiya. It is believed to be an extremely auspicious day that brings prosperity. It is also believed to be the day when lord Parasurama, incarnation of Lord Vishnu, was born. Some also believe that it is on Akshaya Tritiya that River Ganges came down on earth and the Pandavas also received the Akshaya Patra, a bowl that provided unlimited food supply, from Lord Krishna on this day. Being the festival of luck and wealth, Akshaya Tritiya is a perfect day to send your relatives and well-wishers a heart-warming message and let them know that you care. On this day of Akshaya Tritiya, wishing you and your family a lifetime of luck and prosperity. May you thrive and may Goddess Laxmi shower her blessings on you forever.

World Veterinary Day

Image
Whether you’re a cat person, a dog person, a rabbit person or a horse person, there’s one thing all animal lovers can agree on, and that’s the fantastic work carried out by veterinarians. Celebrate with your pet on Veterinary Day by offering them a treat or a new toy to show them how much they mean to you as you appreciate the work veterinarians do to keep pets healthy. Veterinarian Day was created in 2000 by the World Veterinary Association to highlight and promote the lifesaving work performed by veterinarians around the globe. Each year, a different theme is chosen which helps pet owners to remember the importance of various aspects of animal care, and how vets can help, for example ensuring your pet’s vaccinations are up to date. On this special day, why not raise a paw, hoof or claw to say thank you to our veterinarians.

Licks of Love!

Image
Licks of love...! -Sukanya Singh Imagine you are reading a book and suddenly you feel something furry below. When you look down, you see your pet dog cuddling with your leg. How would you feel? Won’t this fluffy creature put a smile on your face? “The bond with a dog is as lasting as the ties of this earth can ever be.” – Konrad Lorenz A dog is the most faithful creature on the planet. They are the kindest of all. Even if you fail to keep a promise, this woolly creature won’t. Even if you cheat, this living being won’t. Even if you deny abiding by the rules and break them, this animal won’t follow the same. Even if you forget to value your family or friends, your pet dog won’t. It will always ‘value’ and ‘respect’ you. We could hardly match to the level of this four legged pure soul, when it comes to keeping a promise, being loyal, being faithful, being trustworthy, being a good company and so on. ”There is nothing true in this world than the love of a good do
