THE BIO-MOVEMENT

The Bio-Movement

-Sukanya Singh

By this time, we all have witnessed very properly and have known the fact that what the nature’s policy is. It was the very first written piece in my blog, under the name, ‘Are you aware about nature’s policy?’  Which described that, if we care nature, nature will care for us? If we love nature, our surroundings will love us in return. If we nurture nature, the nature would also provide us with the fruitful. The article explained how due to the people’s negligence preserving the environment, gifted us with the unexpected ‘Pandemic’ this year. It gives us the transparent knowledge that every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

Every child loves playing with toys, let it be a huge teddy, a Barbie doll or a play station isn’t it? Why not add one more to their list? Let us gift them a different form of toy,’ biotic’ in nature, to play with. I request all the parents to introduce their children with a plant sample on 5th June, 2020 on the day of The World Environment Day, so as to grow in them, a sense of love for nature. Practice your child to play with the plant such as – how to grow them, how to nurture it and how to make your surroundings clean and green. Introduce them this activity as an ‘assignment’. This will surely grow the habit in them to value nature. It is very essential on your part that, when you introduce the plant sample to your kid or kids, kindly educates them about the benefits of planting a tree. Inform them how the plant would help all the members of the society to breathe in pure oxygen, how they can help to make the surrounding pollution free, how they can provide shelter to a number of animals such as – the birds, insects, butterflies, squirrels etc, how they can make the surrounding aesthetic with the fresh air, relaxing nature’s sound, how it can control the temperature, how the plants grow into a full grown matured tree and how these helps in providing shade  during the bright sunny days and many more. This particular activity would not only help your kids to spend their time with nature but also create the attachment with it, which will in turn help them in the future.

Introducing them to this form of ‘toy’ would rather help them to be active and boost them up to create and maintain a healthy surrounding. Today’s children are the citizens of tomorrow. When they adopt such a constructive and productive activity as their duty, they would surely be able to build a whole new green and peaceful planet once again.

Since it is not a new thing for all of us, indeed a fact that, nature is losing its identity, we all can revive it by contributing a little time and effort. We all can plan a particular day in a week to at least plant one plant sample, nurture it with utmost love, care and help to grow the nature with all its essential elements. If one person plants one plant every week, it will become 4 in a month and 48 in a year. If a single person can contribute these many plants a year, think how much it will be if we all start to do so.

Our mother earth is suffering with every single hard drillings from a very long time. Let us all join hands in this movement to preserve nature and sustain her with its long lost glory. Let us make this as our first and foremost duty to plant a tree every week and make the earth a green planet!

(Anyone willing to join us in this movement can share their experiences of planting trees via written pieces or photos. We will definitely publish it in our page along with your profile. Thank you!)
