Story1: Assume that you woke up early in the morning. While coming out of your room for breakfast, you see a bunch of beautiful flowers in a vase in the dining hall. How would you feel???

Story2: Assume early in the morning, after waking up, you opened the door to collect the daily newspaper and suddenly the freshly bloomed flowers and the colourful butterflies flying in your garden caught your sight. Won’t you feel to be the happiest one to experience that wonderful view???

May be you would love to continue with the second story.......!!!

“A garden is a friend you can visit anytime”

- Okakura Kakuzo.

’Gardening’ is a very sweet effort to nurture nature. But it needs loads of energy. It can be done indoors, outdoors, rooftops, etc. Gardening does not refer to growing of flowers only; instead it is a vast series of activities which include growing of vegetables, herbal plants, fruits and many more. Gardening is one of the relaxing agents for the people. It provides them ample time to enjoy the auspicious gifts of nature. It not only helps you to be healthy and reduces the risks of the various diseases but also helps your locality to be pollution free. Looking at you... Your neighbour might get influenced and he/she might start gardening. In this way you are creating a chain of conserving nature and your surroundings would get greener day by day. Isn’t it a sweet achievement?

”To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.”

-Audrey Hepburn

It is not a new thing for us but most of the fruits and vegetables which we get in the market are all concentrated with chemicals like pesticides which are very injurious to health. Still we keep on buying these, cook and eat. Do you know how much are they harming us? Gardening solves this problem instantly. If you have a garden in today’s world, trust me... you are the luckiest one on the earth. Again, are you worried of weight gain??? Do some gardening. It brings you the opportunity to burn out calories. Gardening not only helps you to be physically active and strong but it ensures bringing ‘mental peace’ and acts as the ‘stress buster’. These little efforts make you happy from within. Suppose, you have invited some of your guests and fed them with food from your garden. They were just so happy to taste something different and compliment you on the freshness of the food. Won’t you feel happy? Won’t you feel proud if they ask you the tips to gardening???

Garden is not just the house of plants, trees and flowers alone, it also nests a wide range of animals, insects, colourful butterflies, birds whose presence make the garden much more lively and make it an aesthetic one.

“The love of gardening is a seed once sown that never dies”

-Gertrude Jekyll

I wish you happy gardening...!!!
