Are you sound in delivering 'WORDS'?
Are
you sound in delivering ‘WORDS’?

Let us talk about some
manners today! Communication is a very essential element into one’s life. Just
like food, shelter, education, job; proper communication with one another is
also very necessary to lead a happy and peaceful life. Without communication
one’s life is wholly incomplete. It is an aspect which is used in every day,
either verbally or non verbally. Your way of communicating with someone is the ‘gateway
to your personality’. Your way of interacting with people can put a positive as
well as negative impression in front of others. When one is introduced before
someone or a society, the very important thing one must know is ‘how to talk’.
It is the very first element that one get access to before anything else. It is
said that ‘first impression is the last impression’ and communication is the
one with the help of which one creates an impression first. Let it be with a
Hi! With a Hello! With a smile! With a hug! With eye contact and so on.
People are growing very
busy with the growth and development of technology day by day. Process of
talking face to face is facing a degrading graph and via machines is increasing
and upgrading more. Members of the society
are growing more aggressive. It is seen there is absence of emotions now a
days. They are frustrated and also forgetting certain ethics of communication
too.
It is observed that
people are sounding very direct and to the point now days without caring and
respecting the feeling of others. Being to the point is encouraged enough but even
this carries a particular 'style' of delivering. Being harsh, rude and direct is
not accepted by most of the people most of the time, whether someone close to you or strangers
or any other member of the society, when they are in a rough tone or a way where fights are more likely to occur. You cannot take anyone as passive and for
granted. If the same conversation takes place with some level of decency and
appropriate usage of words, the communication is fulfilled properly and satisfactorily
without harming one self and the people of the society.
We could see certain
sections of people are not done with their communication without using the
colloquial language. Every sentence starts and ends with a slang. We could
observe certain people interrupting intentionally while someone else is
speaking or expressing his/her opinion, or they might not know that
interrupting in the middle while someone else is speaking is not at all good
and most of the time not acceptable. Certain people do not think whom are they talking
to. They just utter words with an ‘I do not care’ attitude. There are some
sections of population, who do not respect and care others around and speaks
openly without analysing the circumstances. Some do not even care for the time. Some even assume things and start commenting without knowing the fact or drilling deep into the matter. Some just dwell in a state and carry certain unwanted attitude, where they portray that they are the 'only one' and that no one can speak or utter a word in front of them. Some people have this habit of using non-verbal communication everywhere they go. This is a very shameful aspect and literally reflects that you are disrespecting people around you. Certain people of the society even indulge into some talks where he/she highlights his/her views only, without understanding the opposite one's situation. Guys being knowledgeable is amazing, learn the way to even apply them in a particular style or in a way that you cause no harm to anybody around you!
We live in a society, so
it is better for us if we obey certain rules and regulations or follow certain
ethics while talking to each other. It helps us to grow and maintain a positive
relation with everyone. Communication plays a very important role in a society.
People should know that ‘Words’ are very powerful. They are 'powerful than a
sword'. You might have experienced certain situation where you uttered something
but feel guilty for that later. Therefore, it is always better to think twice or more
how you are going to interact, with whom, when, where, because once you deliver
the words, it cannot be taken back, they are like the bullets; once out its gone, let your intention be positive towards
the other members of the society. Once the impression is built, it cannot be changed or altered so
easily. The important thing you should keep in your mind that always talk
wisely, smile, use positive words and never forget to adjust your tone, body
movements and other such ways of communication in a proper manner.
Very well said..
ReplyDeleteAnother brilliant article. People especially the younger generation are forgetting their etiquettes and don't seem to really understand the meaning of proper behaviour and how to conduct themselves in the society or around other people, be it their peers or people who are older to them in age.
